Microsoft Office Coming to iOS and Android?

Rumours are circulating the web that Microsoft will be releasing a variation of Microsoft Office near the end of the year.

The release of an app of this sort was been widely anticipated but their were a few issues that all parties needed to get around.

Having a Microsoft Office app on a handled mobile device would be very useful, with a huge number of people using Powerpoint and Word.

The release is expected for November, with details surely to be revealed in the coming months.

The Fastest Selling PC Game - Diablo III

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the first 24 hours of Diablo III’s release saw more than 3.5 million copies being sold, setting the new all-time record for fastest-selling PC game.

Even that huge number did not include the more than 1.2 million players who received Diablo III as part of signing up for the World of Warcraft®Annual Pass promotion.

This means that over more than 4.7 million gamers around the world were storming Sanctuary on day 1 of Diablo III’s release.

Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment, said: “We’re definitely thrilled that so many people around the world were excited to pick up their copy of Diablo III and jump in the moment it went live.

“We also regret that our preparations were not enough to ensure everyone had a seamless experience when they did so. I want to reaffirm our commitment to make sure the millions of Diablo III players out there have a great experience with the game moving forward, and I also want to thank them for their ongoing support.”

Facebook Camera - This Is Why They Wanted Instagram

Social network Facebook has launched a photo sharing smartphone app called Camera.

The launch has been unexpected as Facebook is currently in talks of taking over photo-sharing app Instagram.

However, Facebook would have been working on the app for sometime which may explain why the price of now rival app Instagram, was £1bn (£638m).

Camera offers users similar tools to Instagram,  which the full acquisition of has yet to be completed.

The software allows users to take multiple pictures and share them all at once rather than having to upload them one at a time.

The app also takes the photo feed from social network, showing all friends’ photos.
Both these apps allow users to add filters and make tweaks to photographs.

Some see Facebook as trying to persuade people to move to Camera, so when Instagram is taken over, the system will basically move its unique features to Camera.

Yahoo Launch Axis

Now Google isn’t the only search engine with its own web browser.

Rival Yahoo has now joined in on the act with the launch of Axis.

Yahoo is aiming to streamline your searches and connect your experience across devices, giving you access to the same information no matter what device you’re using Axis on.

The new browser works seamlessly between your iPhone, iPad and computer

Another difference from other browsers is Visual previews of the sites. In Axis the traditional step in web searches where you’re looking through links is eliminated.

Instead, Axis provides a new experience by having an image of the website you’ll be going to.  Searches can even be done without leaving the page you are already on.

Get ready to Slide!

Slide is already something you do everyday when using your iPhone.

However, the people at The Falco Initiative decided to add a gaming element to how we access our iPhone (or iPod in some cases).

The game features four unique game modes and allows you to compete against the best sliders in the world through Game Center.

Could this be the iPhone’s next addictive game?
